Shontaia Riley is an associate with Greensfelder Attorneys at Law, where she practices in the Health Care Practice Group; her work focuses on regulatory, compliance and other transaction and operational matters related to the health care industry and its providers. Prior to this position, she was an Attorney at Law at Lashly & Baer, P.C., practicing in the area of litigation, including labor and employment, premises liability, products liability, contract disputes and family law. She has experience drafting pleadings, pre-trial motions, discovery and dispositive motions. Shontaia also has experience preparing, taking and defending depositions and arguing various pre-trial motions. In addition, she has worked on discrimination claims arising under Title VII, the Civil Rights Act of 1991, and the Missouri Human Rights Act and has experience drafting employer policies and reviewing employment contracts.
Shontaia earned her Juris Doctorate and a Certificate in Health Law from Saint Louis University School of Law. Prior to attending law school, she worked in the health care field and served on active-duty in the United States Air Force as an Emergency Medical Technician.
