Candidate Forum for Better Justice

St. Louis University Law School Courtroom
101 N Tucker Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63101

Several organizations with many members in St. Louis County are holding a forum about the prosecuting attorney race. We've invited the Democratic candidates for the August primary. Prosecuting attorneys are some of the most powerful elected officials in our community.

The prosecuting attorney decides whether someone will be charged with a crime, which crimes to prosecute, and who gets a second chance through diversion or treatment programs. As our community’s top prosecutor, our prosecuting attorney's job is to seek justice in criminal cases, work to prevent crime, and serve as a leader in the diverse communities they represent.

Their actions shape our criminal justice system.

The Community Forum for Better Justice is designed to provide voters with an opportunity to engage the candidates and discuss how to address the inequalities and injustices perpetrated by the criminal justice system.

This event is free and open to the public.

Note: The St. Louis County Reform Coalition is composed of members acting in their non-profit c(3) capacity. We take no position on any of the candidates and this event is strictly non-partisan. Our goal is to educate voters about where the candidates running for district attorney stand on critical issues related criminal justice.

The St. Louis County Reform is composed of the following members:

  • American Civil Liberties Union of Missouri
  • Missourians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty
  • Organization for Black Struggle
