With the recent leak of the Supreme Court’s opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade, the long fight for abortion access has just entered a new phase. We must organize and build a coalition that will work around the clock and for as long as it takes to ensure Missourians have the right to access reproductive care.
If the leaked draft opinion by Justice Alito holds true, the Court will be overturning the fundamental right to control our own bodies and fates – and implicates other civil liberties as well, including contraception and LGBTQ rights. The time to fight back is now.
On Saturday, May 14, rallies in support of people’s right to access abortion will be taking place across the nation, including several locations throughout Missouri. Rallies are a great opportunity to stand in solidarity, to meet other advocates, and to build a movement.
