10 Days of Trans Demands 2020

10 Days of Trans Demands is an annual campaign from the ACLU of Missouri’s Trans Justice Program. Each year, the campaign highlights a different aspect of trans life and community. In 2018, we charged trans allies to come out in support of the trans community for National Coming Out Day. In 2019, we focused on making plain our Demands for a Trans Future.

This year 10 Days of Trans Demands, join us in flipping the script and doing your part to interrupt violence against Missouri sex workers and trans folks.

Read the words of Missouri sex workers and take in the recommendations for keeping them safe in the newly published State of their Hustle: Sex Workers Speak Out in the Show-Me State Report. Join the Statewide effort to destigmatize and decriminalize sex work in St. Louis & Kansas City.

  2. Affirm Publicly That Sex Work Is Work
  3. Defer To The Wisdom And Leadership Of Sex Workers
  4. Confront Sex Work Stigma In Your Everyday Life
  5. End All Law Enforcement Harassment
  6. Reject The Conflation Of Sex Work With Sex Trafficking
  7. Urgently Support Black, Indigenous, And Trans Sex Workers’ Survival
  8. Improve Health Outcomes By Adopting Policies That Affirm Sex Work As Labor
  9. Oppose Laws That Endanger Sex Workers
  10. Commit To Meeting All Workers’ Access Needs
