Manzur, et al., v. Missouri State University

The ACLU of Missouri filed a class-action suit on behalf of current and former women’s athletes at Missouri State University. The University has a long history of not providing equal opportunities to participate in intercollegiate athletics to its women students. Despite its noncompliance with Title IX, the University decided to eliminate its women’s tennis team. The ACLU sought a declaratory judgment and injunctive relief. The case was set for trial in February 2007.
