Policy and Campaigns – Fall Internship 2026

The Fall Internship is an education-based internship best suited for undergraduate students and will typically require no more than 10 hours/week. This internship can be completed virtually, with the opportunity for some in-person events or participation.

September 14th – December 11th (with flexibility for student schedules)

Internships are unpaid, volunteer positions; however, course credit will be accommodated. If you are interested in school credit, please let us know in your application materials.

Potential Duties 

  • Create an independent project focused on ACLU issues
  • Participate in analyzing Missouri’s 2026 Legislative Session and prep for 2027 Session
  • Design public outreach and education materials
  • Draft legislative analysis, fact sheets, and other lobbying tools
  • Participate in related policy and/or campaign events
  • Support Policy & Campaigns departmental projects, as needed

Writing samples should respond to both of the following questions (500 word limit per question):

  1. What ACLU of Missouri policy issue area interests you the most? Why?
  2. What are you hoping to gain from your internship experience? How would an internship with ACLU MO support your future plans?
