The ACLU of Missouri represented Jacqueline Gray in the City of Valley Park’s appeal from the state court injunction entered in March. Gray and other plaintiffs successfully argued that the City’s attempts to regulate immigration by placing new obligations on landlords and business owners violated Missouri law. The case is pending in the Missouri Court of Appeals Eastern District. The ACLU is co-counsel with the national ACLU Immigrants’ Rights Project, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund, the law firm of Jenner & Block, and Green Jacobson & Butsch, P.C. in representing Ms. Gray.
