Internship dates: September 8th –  December 12th  

Applications: Reviewed on a rolling basis, deadline to submit: Friday, August 15th by 5 p.m.

Internships are unpaid, volunteer positions; however, course credit will be accommodated. The Fall Internship is best suited for undergraduate students and will require no more than 10 hours per week. If you are interested in school credit, please let us know in your application materials.  

Potential Duties 

  • Participate in prep for 2026 Legislative Session 
  • Research and author reports, bills, and policy memos on ACLU issues 
  • Design public outreach and education materials 
  • Draft legislative analysis, fact sheets, and other lobbying tools 
  • Create an independent project focused on ACLU issues 
  • Support Policy & Campaigns projects, as needed

Interested individuals should complete and submit a letter of interest, resume, and brief writing sample via mail or email (with the subject line: “Policy & Campaigns F25 Internship Application”). Writing samples should respond to both of the following questions (500 word limit per question): 

  1. What ACLU-MO policy issue area interests you the most? Why? 
  2. What are you hoping to gain from your internship experience? How would an internship with the ACLU of Missouri support your future plans?
