The temporary restraining order prevents the rule from going into effect until the lawsuit is adjudicated

Judge Ellen Ribaudo of the 21st Judicial Circuit issued a ruling to temporarily stay the implementation of Missouri Attorney General’s extreme and unprecedented restrictions on gender affirming care for trans people of all ages until Monday.

Lambda Legal, the ACLU of Missouri, and Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP filed a petition seeking a temporary restraining order to block implementation of the Missouri Attorney General’s unprecedented and extreme restrictions on gender affirming care for trans people of all ages in the state.

Lambda Legal and the American Civil Liberties Union of Missouri are reassuring the transgender community of Missouri that they will take any necessary legal action against Attorney General Andrew Bailey’s emergency regulation restricting access to gender-affirming care. 

Whether for AI training purposes or simple voyeurism, this abuse of privacy is shocking but unsurprising.
