American Pulverizer v. Health and Human Services

In this case, the American Pulverizer Company is trying to demonstrate that the federal contraception rule creates a substantial burden on its religious exercize under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Attorneys representing the ACLU national office, the ACLU of Eastern Missouri and the ACLU of Kansas & Western Missouri filed an amicus brief on Dec. 6, 2012, asking the Court to deny American Pulverizer's motion for a preliminary injunction.
