The ACLU of Missouri works in the courts, at the statehouse, and in communities to defend the rights of transgender people. As local, state, and federal laws rapidly shift, it’s crucial for trans people and their loved ones to stay informed about their rights and freedoms.

This guide is designed to help transgender, nonbinary, gender non-conforming, and intersex (TGNCI) people understand their legal rights in Missouri. It can also be used by parents, caregivers, family members, loved ones, service providers, and allies.
